An easy way to compare 2D drawings in CATIA V5 is to use CGM (Convergence Geometric Modeler). With this, you’ll see the differences between two 2D drawings superposed. What you need, it is only the .CATDrawings files to save in .cgm format to use this function.
- Open first version of 2D Drawing, navigate to File -> Save as -> Type a name in File name input and select cgm to Save as type
- Open second version of 2D Drawing and follow same steps like a first step.
- Close both versions of cgm files saved before.
- Open first cgm saved.
- Use Compare Drawings button from cgm interface and select last cgm saved before at step 2 and click OK.
